Aviation and Defense

GETCO formed Aviation and Defence division, which is run by former civil aviation and defence forces officers. Gr. Capt. (Retd.) Shaukat-ul Islam is heading this division. He brings rich experiences from his different senior positions such as Assistant Chief of Air Staff, Bangladesh Air Force, Chairperson Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), Chairperson Tourism Corporation of Bangladesh, and Managing Director, Bangladesh Biman-the National Flag Carrier. This division supplies products and provides services to the Defence Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, Coast Guard, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited and Civil Aviation Authority.

Since its inception, Aviation & Defence Division executed more than US$35 million worth of contracts from Army, Navy, Air Force, and Civil Aviation.

Army:

Armoured vehicles with spares, components and various types of arms and ammunitions

Navy:

Supply of maritime helicopter, supply of maritime patrol aircraft, supply of sonar, marine generator, supply of arms and ammunitions, etc.

Air Force:

Aircraft/Helicopter; Engines, components and spares of Aircraft/Helicopter; overhauls of different types of engines and components of Aircraft/Helicopter, Flight Simulators, Hydraulic Test Unit, etc.

Civil Aviation:

Simulator, Arresting Barrier System with Net, all types of ground support equipment, Complete Radar and Radar Equipment with after sales support.
