GETCO Group established GETCO Agro Vision Ltd. (GAV) in 2006 with a vision to explore modern science and technology in research to develop food and agriculture products.
The R&D facilities created by GAV have helped to develop innovative products of high quality F1 Hybrid, OP and Organic seeds of vegetables, potato, rice, maize, herbs, and flowers.
The strategic planning is designed to develop seeds and production packages to cover the interest of marginal and big farmers in adaption agriculture. GAV’s aim is to address the millennium development goals for food security, health, and environment.
In so far as production of seeds, GAV employs and trains contract growers, and utilizes its own farms.
GAV is taking action to implement its plan to set up a tissue culture laboratory. It is expected to be operational by June 2009.
